For most of us, the thought of going to the dentist conjures up....well a bad taste in our mouth. Those smells! Those sounds! Those needles! Oh, the horror!Now picture this: your child practically running into a place decorated like a rain forest, complete with monkeys, birds and a walk-in tree. He/she gets his picture taken for his/her 'passport' in order to go on his/her 'safari'. He is taken to a station under a waterfall, where you both will learn proper brushing techniques. Toothpaste never had it so good! Afterward, he/she gets a stamp in his/her passport. As a parent, you would be interested to know that digital technology is used here for X-rays, but your child only cares that he gets to smile with Lyle, a huge stuffed gorilla to get the pictures! After his/her cleaning (prophylaxis) and fluoride treatment (and more passport stamps!), your child chooses a prize, and you have to coax him into leaving because he wants to finish this level on the video game he is playing in the lobby.
